During the mid 1990's, a new way to make money began to appear in villages that dot the densely populated Henan Province, the heartland of China. Mobile vans with white-coated technicians would jump out, and offer cash, sometimes as much as the equivalent of 25 dollars, for a bag of your blood. The business caught on like wildfire, villagers became professional blood sellers, traveling to various collection centers so they can give blood more often, and the collectors couldn't harvest this...
